Who I Am

IMG_2915_edited.jpg

Hi, I’m Lauren Witte!  I’m entering my third season as an assistant women’s soccer coach at St. Catherine University, and I feel so grateful to be able to give back to the program that shaped so much of who I am. In my first-year coaching, I was lucky to be part of a record-breaking season where our team earned its third straight MIAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance, finishing with the best record in school history. Overall, as a player we won the MIAC Championship 2x and now as a coach we have won the MIAC 2x being named MIAC Champions four years in a row.

Soccer has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it’s always held a special place in my heart. Growing up, I learned that true improvement doesn’t come overnight—it’s built through consistency, dedication, and a willingness to push beyond your comfort zone. That lesson has stayed with me not only as a player, but now as a coach. I’ve always dreamed of starting my own business where I could help athletes not only sharpen their skills but also build the confidence, they need to thrive both on and off the field.

I’m especially passionate about the connection between technical skills, speed work, and nutrition. As a collegiate athlete, speed work was an area of my game that needed major growth—and once I committed to improving it, everything changed. I also strongly believe the food we fuel our bodies with plays a pivotal role in how we perform, recover, and grow. That’s why my approach focuses on blending technical training, speed development, and nutrition—because together, they create a foundation for athletes to reach their full potential.

Along with coaching at St. Catherine University, I am starting my first season with Lakeville Soccer Club. I was previously at Minnesota Thunder Academy, the club where I grew up playing ECNL. I am currently an ODP (Olympic Development Program) trainer and have been for 2 years-entering 3 years.  I’m also proud to hold a U.S. Soccer C License, which allows me to continue growing as a coach while helping players achieve their own goals.
